I got a different story to tell. I bought lenovo 3000Y410-snow white model Laptop from V.S.L.Electronics pvt ltd, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, India. I bought the Laptop for 55+ price which I guess is pretty reasonable amount to buy a decent laptop.
Of course, I fooled myself by not asking the sales person give a demo. They persuaded me that this snow white model is top of the world model. I asked for demo but they said only 1 piece is with them and if seal is opened they consider that sold to me.
The people at this show room behaves as though they are selling Jet-Planes and with their noses high in the air.Once the customer buys the product they turn very indifferent to him/her.
After I bought the Laptop and took to room, I found that it does give good performance (cpu/mem utilization) with applications but the audio output is the most pathetic I ever heard. With 4 people talking in the room, you wont be able to listen to the music if you are playing songs on this laptop.
I wonder how lenovo has given such a substandard audio output for such a high price, branding it as DOLBY HOME THEATER MODEL.
I thought it is an issue with my laptop but few days back HITECH Informatics Pvt Ltd service people told me that the model is having this problem. I want to know - with whom I should get this issue addressed. Either I want to have the audio system changed or the laptop changed.

I really don't have words to describe my gratitude for the manner in which my problem was sorted out by you on 11.10.20008, the very day on which I had a problem with my computer.
While loading an anti virus software my Lenovo "Ideapad Y 510" encountered some problem and my system was getting restarted automatically. I went to the authorized service center in Bhubaneswar and they asked me to lodge a complaint with the toll free number.
After checking the details, Jolly at e-warranty, guided me with detailed steps. For a period of more than an hour , Jolly gave me instructions patiently and not for a moment did I feel that she was getting irritated. On the contrary ,after solving my problem she asked me whether I had any other problems with my laptop. She again instructed me to carry out a few steps to make the functioning of my computer faster.
I am delighted and can't tell you the admiration which I have for Jolly as a person and Lenovo E-warranty as an organization. If India in the past had a reputation for inefficiency and red tapism , the new resurgent India today has world class organizations like Lenovo and more importantly employees like Jolly who can understand the consumer and provide him/ her with world class service.
Please accept my thanks, gratitude and admiration for your service. You create benchmarks, it is for people like us to learn and follow.

At last with local dealer vashini business machine help he found your service center. your service persons Mr. Flawy and his Engineer recovered valuable datas from damaged Harddisk and shortout the problem and hand over the system in good condition. We are very much thankful for the service persons who spend time up to evening 9.00. In our country also we did not got such a service. |

I had purchased Lenovo Laptop at Bombay some days ago. To my surprise it was not functioning well. There was some problem in CD Drive of laptop. So I complained on Toll Free number of company. After some days , I had a phone from Bombay Service Centre for repairing my laptop. I was called there to repair my laptop. It really pleased me so much.When I reached at Bombay Service Centre for repairing my laptop. Two things impressed me a lot. First, my arrival time was noted down. It seemed that customer’s time should not be wasted. Secondly, there was eye sighting as well as pleasing atmosphere everywhere in service centre. It is a nice idea to provide good service, to please and care of customer.Then, within no time, they understood the problem of my laptop and gave me replacement of CD Drive. During this, one person was frequently doing enquiry of customer’s problem. So I enquired about that person. I was told that he is the head of service centre.To repair my laptop, I had to travel 650 K.M. from Nanded to Bombay. But within 15 to 20 minutes my laptop was repaired in your service centre.I think Lenovo and its service both are excellent and matchless.So, I wish your Lenovo Company will be much more successful in future. |

I had picked up two lenovo 3000 N100 laptops in nov 2006. The batteries of both the laps failed within the warranty period and was replaced . now withing 6-7 months of the replacements , the new batteries are showing the same symptoms . Now that the laptops are out of warrenty i understand that they cannot be replaced and I have to shell out around Rs 6,500 X 2 . i know at least 3 more people who had the same issue .Why is lenovo using such sub standard parts and spoiling its name ? |

There was an agent by the name Senthil and Gyanendra who were Subject Matter Experts.I did not have to explain the whole issue in detail, i just informed them in brief about the issue i was facing .They not only assisted me to re-install the software but was online through the entire process which was very time consuming.They did not rush me through the process and also assisted me in downloading drivers by providing me the relevant link and installing them in my system to access the net. |
