Lenovo India launched two new PC support services, and broadened their support logistics with new spare warehouses in Calcutta and Lucknow. The PC maker also announced that it will double the number of service partners to over 200 locations by 2010.
We are planning to have support centers in every district in the country, and have set up a separate option for partners to log in their queries at our call center," said Sudhir Puthran, Director, Services and Support, Lenovo India.
Lenovo also announced that its support centers will be operational six days a week. "The new spare warehouse in Lucknow will free our service partners from the hassles of newly announced entry taxes. The Calcutta warehouse will ensure that our customers in Northeast get better support," he added.
Lenovo also launched a service called Protection Service that offers performancerelated insurance to both enterprises and consumers. Priced at Rs 2,052 per annum, the service covers all accidental and inadvertent damages that may occur to a laptop during normal working conditions.
